The main objective of the establishing the unit was to add value to the Tuna fish landed by island fisherman and to provide employment to islanders.
Achievements:
Factory has procured around 66694 Kg of fresh tuna from local fisherman/boat owners of Minicoy, and factory has produced 1,42,169 Nos of tuna in oil cans and above 100000 cans has been be sold in the island alone.
