1. No. of Jetty – 3(2 for Shipping 1 for Fisheries).
2. Berthing Facility - 1(Eastern Jetty) All Ship except M.V.Kavaratti can be berthed at Eastern jetty.
3. No. of boats for safe embarkation and disembarkation – 1 (ML Muthukunni).
4. Airport - Nil ( Proposal for Joint Airfield underway).
5. Helipad Facility – 1 (Helipad).
6. Long pending Passenger resting hall a Eastern Jetty is now functional.
7. Departmental 750Ton capacity Oil Tanker M.V. Thilakam is expected to be received shortly so we can expect to supply of petrol, Aviation Turbine Fuel, and HSD to Minicoy through IOC bunkering point at western side.
8. 3Nos new marine engines are to be supplied by ALHW for the installation on departmental 3 boats. It is expected to reach here within two months. Details are required.
Achievements:
Maximum utilizing departmental Tug and 20 Mtrs passengers boat for ship to shore transportation of the men and materials and thereby saving huge Govt fund due to none engagement of private boat. Details are required.
